Abstract
This research is titled Implementation of Indonesian Language Learning in Inclusive Classes at Public Junior High Schools in Banda Aceh City. The research problem is: "How is the implementation of Indonesian language learning in inclusive classes at public junior high schools in Banda Aceh City?" This study aims to describe the implementation of Indonesian language learning in inclusive classes at public junior high schools across Banda Aceh City. This research uses a qualitative method, often referred to as a naturalistic research method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation in public junior high schools in Banda Aceh. The data sources in this study are primary data, consisting of observation results, interviews, and documentation obtained from respondents. The data analysis technique involves data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of learning in inclusive classes is running well and reflects a strong commitment from schools and teachers to realize equitable and fair education for students with special needs (SEN). The learning approach is conducted individually and adaptively, using the Merdeka Curriculum (K13) flexibly to accommodate students' needs and abilities. Learning evaluation emphasizes individual achievement and the development of students' basic skills. Teachers, especially Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers, play a crucial role in accompanying and managing inclusive learning. However, several challenges remain, including unequal distribution of teacher training on inclusive education, limited facilities and infrastructure, and insufficient parental involvement. Nevertheless, the social environment in schools tends to be conducive and free from discrimination, supporting an inclusive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. With improved teacher training, adequate facility provision, and strengthened parental roles, the inclusive education program in Banda Aceh’s public junior high schools has the potential to become an effective and sustainable inclusive education model.
