Abstract

The social studies learning process was still dominated by the view that knowledge is a set of facts that must be memorized. Classes still focus on the teacher as the main source of knowledge. The subjects in this research were students in class VI Semester I of SD Negeri 1 Babahrot, Babahrot District, Southwest Aceh Regency for the 2021-2022 academic year, totaling 21 students. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research, which consists of two cycles. Data collection was carried out by written tests and observation of student learning activities. Data processing percentage calculation techniques. The research results show that (1) The application of the problem based learning model can improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning in the Indonesian administrative system material; (2) In cycle I the average score of students at meeting 1 was 68.81 and meeting 2 was 78.10 with the number of students completing 14 people and in cycle II the average score for meeting 1 students was 82.62 and meeting 2 was 91.67 with all students completing Study.
