PENGARUH MODEL COOPERATIVE LEARNING NHT BERBANTUAN PHET SIMULATION TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR FISIKA SISWA

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of the cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) assisted by PhET simulation on students’ learning outcomes in physics, specifically on the topic of elasticity and Hooke’s Law at SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The study population consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which utilized PhET simulation media within the NHT cooperative learning model, and the control class, which implemented the NHT model without the use of media. The experimental and control classes comprised 34 and 27 students, respectively. The research instruments included achievement tests in the form of pre-test and post-test. The findings revealed that the average pre-test score of the experimental class was 26.62, which increased to 81.68 after treatment. Meanwhile, in the control class, the average pre-test score was 25.57, rising to 73.04 after treatment. The data were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing, which indicated a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two classes. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model type NHT assisted by PhET simulation has a positive influence on students’ physics learning outcomes.
