STRATEGI GURU DALAM MENINGKATKAN KARAKTER TANGGUNG JAWAB SISWA DI SD NEGERI LAMTEH KABUPATE ACEH BESAR

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the strategies employed by teachers and the challenges they encounter in fostering students’ sense of responsibility at SD Negeri Lamteh, Aceh Besar District. The research involved one classroom teacher and 30 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires, and subsequently analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data collection, reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the teacher implemented various strategies, such as task monitoring, the use of guiding questions, collaborative learning, and the creation of a supportive learning environment. These approaches were found to be effective in enhancing students’ discipline and sense of responsibility. The main challenges identified included peer distractions and varying levels of student motivation. Nevertheless, 86.40% of students were classified in the “Excellent” category for responsibility, indicating the overall effectiveness of the strategies applied. These results highlight the pivotal role of teachers in cultivating students’ sense of responsibility from an early stage in elementary education.
