Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran IPA dengan Metode Demonstrasi di Kelas VIII.2 SMP Negeri 1 Lahat

Abstract
The aims of this research are: a.) to improve the learning process carried out in the classroom. b.) to improve teacher performance. c.) to improve student learning outcomes in science subjects by using the Demonstration Method in class VIII.2 of SMP Negeri 1 Lahat. This study uses three cycles of classroom action research. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: design, activities and observations, reflection, and revision. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII.2 with a total of 31 students. The results showed that student learning outcomes using the Demonstration Method increased with details in Cycle I the student's completeness score was (51.61%) with an average value of 68.38 and the highest score of 85 the lowest was 50. In the second cycle the student's completeness score namely (70.96%) with an average value of 75.80 and the highest score of 90 and the lowest of 60. And in the third cycle the mastery value of student learning outcomes increased to (93.54%) with an average value of 84.35 and the highest is 95 the lowest is 70. So it can be concluded that using the Demonstration Method can improve student learning outcomes in science subjects in class VIII.2 SMP Negeri 1 Lahat.
