Abstract

The objectives of this study are: a.) To improve the learning process carried out in the classroom. b.) To improve teacher performance. c.) To improve student learning outcomes in learning Mathematics with the Demonstration Method in class IV SD Negeri Gedung Rejo. This study uses three cycles of classroom action research. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: design, activities and observations, reflection, and revision. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students with a total of 24 students. The results showed that student learning outcomes with the Demonstration Method had increased with details in the first cycle which reached the student learning mastery value (62.50%) with an average value of 68.75 and the highest score of 90 and the lowest 55. In the second cycle who achieved the student learning completeness score (70.83%) with an average value of 73.95 and the highest score was 90 and the lowest was 60. And in the third cycle the increase in student learning outcomes increased to (91.66%) with an average score of the average is 83.95 and the highest score is 95 and the lowest is 60. The conclusion of this study is the demonstration method can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics in grade IV SD Negeri Gedung Rejo
