Abstract

Indonesian language and literature teaching and learning activities at SD Negeri 10 Banda Aceh, especially short story writing skills are not very good, therefore this study tries to test the effectiveness of the image streaming strategy in learning to write short stories. Seeing the nature of the image streaming strategy that has been stated previously, it is hoped that the image streaming strategy can be used as an effective and appropriate strategy when used in learning to write short stories in class. This was done considering that the image streaming strategy had never been used in teaching short story writing skills at SD Negeri 10 Banda Aceh. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Image Streaming learning strategy on the ability to write short stories in class IV SD Negeri 10 Banda Aceh. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research. The sample in this study was 21 class IV students at SD Negeri 10 Banda Aceh. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and tests in the form of pre-tests and post-test. The data was then analyzed using the normality test and t test. Based on the results of the study it can be seen that the Image Streaming learning strategy is effective on the ability to write short stories in grade IV students of SD Negeri 10 Banda Aceh which is marked by an increase in the average pre-test result of 10.04 up to 15.14 in the post-test stage with test results the hypothesis shows the value of p = 0.000 <0.05. Arinya's Imaga Streaming learning strategy effectively improves the ability to write short stories in grade IV SD Negeri 10 Banda Aceh.
