Abstract

The objectives of this study are: a) To improve the learning process carried out in the classroom, improve teacher performance and want to know the improvement of student learning outcomes b). To describe the learning process through the implementation of the Think Pair Share learning model for class IX.1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Martapura.c). To find out to what extent the implementation of the Think Pair Share learning model can improve the understanding of class IX.1 students. SMP Negeri 1 Martapura. d). To find out how far the implementation of the Think Pair Share learning model can increase the creativity of class IX.1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Martapura. e). To find out the students' responses to the implementation of the Think Pair Share learning model for class IX.1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Martapura. This research uses action research as much as 3 cycles. The target of this research is the students of class IX.1 of SMP Negeri 1 Martapura. The data obtained in the form of the results of the end of the cycle test, teaching and learning activity sheets. From the results of the analysis, it was found that student learning outcomes increased from cycle I to cycle II, cycle I was 46.67% or there were 14 students to 70.00% or there were 21 students in cycle II, and in cycle III increased to 93.33 % or there are 28 students. With the average grade in the first cycle 69.23, the second cycle 77.27 and the third cycle 81.83. The conclusion of this study is that students' responses to the implementation of the Think Pair Share learning model for class IX.1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Martapura are positive and the Think Pair Share learning model can improve student learning outcomes.
