EFEKTIVITAS KETERAMPILAN PUKULAN FOREHAND TENIS MEJA PADA SISWA KELAS XI MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA AUDIO-VISUAL DI MAS SYAMSUDDHUHA ACEH UTARA

Abstract

Mastery of good shot technique skills in playing table tennis, especially forehand shot techniques, must be supported by proper training and learning. These skills can be mastered through a planned, systematic, and sustainable learning and motion training program. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using audio-visual media in improving table tennis forehand shot skills in class XI students at MAS Syamsuddhuha North Aceh. This study used a quantitative approach with the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The population of this study were all XI grade students at MAS Syamsuddhuha North Aceh which amounted to 70 people, while the sample used was XI IPA 4 class students as many as 25 people. The research instruments were collected through observation, practical tests, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed a significant increase in table tennis forehand shot skills after the use of audio-visual media, with the average student score reaching 84%. Thus, the research hypothesis was accepted. In addition, students became more active, motivated, and able to coordinate movements better.
