Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of teaching modules in the Merdeka curriculum. With the existence of these new teaching devices, of course this becomes a new problem for teachers to develop their creativity in compiling more varied learning with the latest teaching device models. This study aims to determine teachers' perceptions of teaching modules in the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum at SDN 1 Lamcot, Aceh Besar Regency. This research was conducted at SDN 1 Lamcot, Aceh Besar Regency. The research approach used is qualitative research with a descriptive research type. The research subjects were the principal and four class teachers of SDN 1 Lamcot, Aceh Besar, all of whom numbered five people. Data collection techniques used documentation, observation, and interviews. Data analysis techniques were carried out qualitatively and described in descriptive form, namely data reduction, data display and conclusions. The results of the study showed that the perception of teachers at SDN 1 Lamcot Aceh Besar regarding teaching modules in the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum showed a positive perception, namely that SDN 1 Lamcot Aceh Besar had understood and applied teaching modules in their implementation, such as compiling teaching modules that were in accordance with student needs, teacher training in improving teacher competence, and school facilities and infrastructure were adequate in the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum teaching modules so that all of these things made it easier for teachers to design teaching modules. The advantages of teaching modules in the Merdeka curriculum are that they can make it easier for teachers to teach, give a lot of freedom to choose methods, materials, and learning models that are in accordance with student needs, teachers become more skilled and creative. However, the disadvantage is that teachers are overwhelmed when making teaching modules in determining various exercises or assignments according to their level.
