Efektivitas Digital Detoks terhadap Kualitas Tidur
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to examine the effectiveness of digital detox on sleep quality in a young adult population. Digital Detox is the practice of temporarily eliminating the use of gadgets and social media to reduce distractions and improve sleep quality. The control group experimental method with pretest-posttest design was used in this study. The study participants consisted of 30 young adults who were randomly divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Before and after the digital detox period, each participant's sleep quality was measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), which consists of several dimensions of sleep quality. The pretest results showed that the two groups had similar levels of sleep quality before the intervention. After the digital detox period, the experimental group experienced significant improvement in sleep quality compared to the control group. Data analysis using the t-Independent test showed significant differences between the two groups in aspects of sleep quality, including sleep duration, effective sleep time, and overcoming sleep disturbances. These findings indicate that digital detox is effective in improving sleep quality in the young adult population. The implication of this research is the importance of awareness of the negative impact of gadgets and social media on sleep.
