Abstract
This study examines the effect of the STAD type of cooperative learning model on students' learning motivation . The problem in this study is the low motivation of students to learn in the IPA learning process, which aims to increase students' learning motivation. This type of research is experimental research, with research subjects namely students of clas . data collection in this study through questionnaires, motivation and documentation. This study uses the theory of constructivism, from this study showed an increase in student learning motivation after using the STAD type cooperative learning model in sociology learning class SMP ALHIDAYAH. This can be seen from the results of the t-test that was carried out, which obtained a two-way or sig (2-tailed) of 0.000 so that it was concluded that 0.000 <0.05 then Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Obtained t_count = 6.837 > t_table = 0.388 so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model on student motivation in sociology learning class SMP Swasta Alhidayah
