THE INFLUENCE THE USE OF ANIMATED VIDEO MEDIA "VOLCANO DISASTER" ON THE LEARNING MOTIVATION

Abstract
Given that Indonesia experiences many natural disasters every year, volcanic eruptions are one of them. Indonesia has a number of active volcanoes, including Mount Agung in Bali, Mount Krakatau in Banten, Mount Bromo in East Java, and Mount Merapi in Central Java. The field of education has a significant impact on the development of a nation. It can continue to lead a nation by producing quality future generations through education. There are various ways to get an education, one of which is through schooling. Schools are formal educational institutions that systematically implement guidance, education, and training programs to assist students in maximizing their moral, intellectual, emotional, social, and motor development. Thus, learning about volcanoes in schools is needed, namely by teaching it starting from elementary school, using animated video media-based learning media. Therefore, researchers tried to introduce a simulation model based on animated video media because it provides opportunities for students to participate directly with other students and generate new ideas with the aim of seeing the effect of using animated video media-based learning media from the results of learning conducted. This research was conducted at SDN 2 Neuheun. Therefore, the purpose of writing this article is to describe the effect of using animated video media on volcanic disasters on students at SDN 2 Neuheun. The method used is descriptive qualitative. In this case, researchers rely on direct observation to collect data in the field. The research data is an animated video media-based learning process. The results showed that the use of animated video learning media had a very good effect on students' learning motivation.
