Abstract

This research is an experimental research. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of jigsaw type cooperative learning to student characteristic behavior in the subjects of science at Junior High Scool number 2 of Banda Aceh. For collect data, researchers used non-test instrument or give questionnaire to students to find the effect of jigsaw type cooperative learning to student characteristic behavior before and after learning. To determine whether or not the effect of jigsaw type cooperative learning, it needed to test the hypothesis. Test hypothesis is t-test (test right side) criteria segnifikan 0.05 level. Based on the results of data processing that have been analyzed are the criteria of value and the t = 4,41 and t table = 2,21 where t> t-table indicating that reject H0 and accept Ha. Where it can be concluded that there are effect of jigsaw type cooperative learning to student characteristic behavior in the subjects of science at Junior High Scool number 2 of Banda Aceh.
