EFFORTS OF THE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL TOWARDS TEACHER DISCIPLINE AT SDN ANEUK BATE
An effective principal will certainly affect teacher performance, as well as teachers will be more enthusiastic in carrying out their duties and responsibilities as well as their obligations as teachers. This is because the teacher feels that he gets attention, security and recognition for his achievements. This study aims to determine the role of school principals in teacher discipline. The aspect studied is the principal's efforts in disciplining teachers at SDN Aneuk Bate, the method used is descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this research were principals and teachers. Data collection was done through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The researcher used source triangulation to obtain data validity. The results obtained show that the principal has tried to discipline teachers at SDN Aneuk Bate, these efforts include making rules, teaching habits, sanctioning punishment for teachers who violate, giving rewards and consistency, but in its implementation and implementation have not been fully implemented.
